Abraham-Hicks and long-held desires

I read some Abraham this morning before I got up and then was laying all warm and cozy in bed thinking. I was musing lazily about what made me happy and realized I feel happy when I feel like I can have what I want. I feel unhappy when I think I can't have what I want.

Is it really that simple for me? I think it is.

When I read Abraham this morning this stood out:

...Many people on their way to wellness get half-way there, and get discouraged because there is not manifestation, and turn around and head back toward illness. Many people on their way from financial disaster get nearly to where they want to be, where the manifestation is nearly about to show up, but because they take score about the manifestation, they get discouraged and turn around and go back to not enough money.

...you have been launching preferences...and Law of Attraction is lining up around them. And your future experience is being made for you before you approach it -- that's why 99% of creation is complete before you begin to see the physical evidence of it.

So, most of what you're doing is the Emotional Journey....

Abraham-Hicks, July-Aug-Sept 2005 Quarterly Journal, "An Emotional Journey from Fear to Hope."

There are beliefs and their manifestations that I've had since childhood that I want to change. This is the answer for me for those times when it seems that I've been asking for a long time -- that part where Abraham says we get almost there and then turn around. I turned around when I looked at what-is and thought I couldn't have what I wanted.

I wonder if that part of the journey just before manifestation is a birth like our physical birth? If we have a long-held desire or one that is really important to us perhaps we sense that our life will change in a big way and there is unconscious resistance that causes us to choose to turn around and go back so that we can practice aligning some more.

This morning was a reminder for me that the end of the journey -- the part just before manifestation -- is still just part of the path. I don't have to turn back. I can make an oasis. I can be creative. I can contemplate. I can enjoy the feeling that what I desire is close and coming to me. I can choose to believe that I can have what I want.

Source Energy is intimately, infinitely, always responding to your requests, no matter how great or small they may be deemed by you or anyone else who is observing them. There is nothing so big that Source Energy can't get its thoughts around it-- and there is nothing so small that Source Energy isn't willing to get its thoughts around it.

Above all I can ask this loving Universe for whatever I need at that time to align --comfort, guidance, signs, good feeling thoughts. I can enjoy every part of the journey.
