To change circumstances, tell a new story

Abraham tells us we create by our thoughts. A thought repeated over and over becomes a belief, or another way of looking at it, it becomes our story. If we want to manifest new circumstances then one way we can do that is tell a new story. This is from a section about physical health, but it applies to any circumstances.

You are the only one who creates in your experience -- no one else. Everything that comes to you comes by the power of your thought.

When you focus long enough that you feel passion, you harness more power and you achieve greater results. The other thoughts, while they are important and have creative potential, usually are only maintaining what you have already created. And so, many people continue to maintain unwanted physical experiences simply by offering consistent -- not powerful, and not accompanied by strong emotions -- thoughts. In other words, they merely continue telling the same stories about things that seem unfair, or unwanted things that they disagree with, and in doing so, they maintain unwanted conditions. The simple intention of telling better feeling stories about all subjects that you focus upon will have a great effect on your physical body. But since words do not teach, it is our suggestion that you try telling a different story for a while and observe for yourself what happens.

From Money and the Law of Attraction,, Esther and Jerry Hicks, p.102

I'll give you a tool that goes with telling a new story. This is a process from the book Busting Loose from the Money Game by Robert Scheinfeld. I read the book several years ago and just wrote down the process, not the page number. I may not even be quoting him exactly, but it will give you the idea. Some of his ideas felt right to me, some didn't. I took from it some very helpful processes though. I love this tool to reclaim reclaim our power, for that is what we are doing when we tell a new story. We may have given the old story power when we were too young or vulnerable to see that it didn't suit us. Now we can consciously choose the story of our life any way that pleases us. You may feel peace, relief, joy. You may or may not have an intense experience, but you are clearly telling a new story using this process. Change any words to those that feel right to you.

If you are having negative feelings, feel them to the peak of intensity and then say:

I am the Power and Presence of God creating this. It's not real. It's an illusion. It's completely made up. It's a creation of my consciousness.

I reclaim my power from this creation NOW! As I reclaim that power I feel it coming back to me. (Pause and feel the power, the relief of it returning). I feel it surging into me. (Pause and feel it surging, feel the joy and energy.)

As I feel the surge, I feel myself expanding more and more into who I really am, the Power and Presence of God. I feel myself expressing more and more of who I am in my human experience. I AM the Power and Presence of God. I am in infinite abundance (or health, well-being, etc) right here and now.

Now you know you created this and you reclaimed your power. Acknowledge your power and appreciate your creation from your old story.

How amazing I am to create this and convince myself it was real. How amazing the creation was and how well it served me.

I had a aunt that had a very large birthmark that covered the complete side of her face, but she was a beautiful, confident, attractive woman. She was talking about it one day and I said I didn't even see it, and I didn't. I just saw her. She told me that when she was a child my grandfather used to tell her every day that she was beautiful and a time came when she believed him.

It can be great fun and very freeing to tell a new story. It doesn't have to start from what you think is reality and go on from there. Start anywhere you want and have fun with it. I've told myself stories about time travel or going to other dimensions that were great fun. I let go of all of the "beliefs" of this world and created my own.

You are telling a story anyway, now tell yourself a story that pleases you.

Feel what it's like to have that desire

Hooboy, I have a shiny new deliberate creating tool. I've been writing about my journey to close the gap and feel good about long-term goals for several posts. In my last post, Abraham-Hicks on Winning the lottery pt 2, I was watching a video of an Abraham workshop where they asked how it would feel to win the lottery. I immediately felt it: Powerful! I could do anything!

Last night I was listening to an Abraham workshop tape and got in the Abe zone. I have a desire to walk easily and effortlessly and asked myself how it would feel.

FREE!!!!

I could go anywhere anytime I wanted to. I could walk for miles. I could walk in museums, walk along a beach, walk in a forest, climb hills, jump from stone to stone across a stream, dance, hop, skip, jump, run like the wind!!!

Free. Free. Free. Free. FREEEEEEEE!!!!!! Free. Free. Freeeeee. :)

Oh, boy. I like practicing THAT feeling! :)

When I had the realization last night that I would feel free I instantly flashed on how much I had practiced not feeling free in my life. Almost every day when I was working. Anytime I went somewhere or did something I didn't want to do. Anytime I told myself I should do something instead of what I felt like doing. I'm retired now and I still do it. My home is cluttered with things I am sorting to sell or give away -- things I "should" do something with. I haven't felt good at times and it's not clean. So what?!! It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter what other people think. It doesn't matter if someone else thinks it should look a certain way. It just doesn't matter!!

Today, it just doesn't matter!! I do whatever I want whenever I want to. I'm free!

@>---- @>---- @>---- @>---- @>---- @>---- @>---- @>---- @>---- @>---- @>---- @>----

Want some more inspiration? Artist Annie Coe, the Blissful-Bohemian, was inspired by a dream to leap before she looks . She's been taking chances with her life and art and is inspired to new paintings and techniques she's shown us here and here. I told her this must have been what it was like for those who watched Paul Klee develop his work. She has set herself free and it's great fun for me to see what she comes up with next.

Update on manifesting long-held desires

Since I wrote the previous post about long-held desires I realized, in my thinking, there was a big gap between me and the desires. I knew they were possible to have. Other people had what I wanted. I believed that when I asked it was given and they are in my vortex, 99% created as Abraham has explained. But I could tell that I didn't think they were possible for me as I was then and that I thought I would have to be a different person to have them. I would have to be "more."

My previous post describes how I merge the physical and spiritual. When I described listening inside, I am listening to Source Energy in my vortex saying, "Come this way," as the next steps for my desires are given to me. By listening and taking action I become more confident. I open up to the "more" I thought I needed - more of who I truly am. I practice the vibration of who I am and it becomes familiar to me instead of looking around outside of me and becoming familiar with what is outside.
When you see something you want, and you give it your attention, and you say yes to it, you are including whatever its vibration is in your vibration. When you see something you do not want, and you shout no at it, you are including whatever its vibration is in your vibration.

Abraham-Hicks, Portland, OR, July 11, 1999
So, the trick is to look outside at the contrast to inspire our desires, and then turn to the solutions in our vortex.

I can see that this intentions, list-making technique works for me because it makes the next-step desires very short term -- just for that day or for a morning or an hour. I make the steps as small as I want them to be for me to be able to take action and feel good. If it doesn't feel good I don't do it. If it doesn't feel good to do the list anymore, I throw it away. If making a list doesn't feel like fun, then I don't make one, but I am aware that every day there is an interest inside me for action(s) of some type or another. When I take action on those feelings things get done easily and quickly and I feel good about it. Sometimes I step on my own toes in deciding what to do and when, but basically there is a dance between these impulses from within and new desires I have during the day.

I've been intrigued by my vortex and have spent time just listening inside and exploring. Abraham says my desires are answered instantly and I played with asking and then listening for the answer which did indeed come instantly.

If I ask for a feeling or clarity or a "thing" it is there in my vortex. Allowing becomes feeling that feeling I want or having the clarity or thoughts that I wanted. Those are manifestation just as much as things are.

My vortex contains the manifested desires, but most important to me is that this is my expanded self. It's the self that I want to be when I send out my desire.

I don't have to please anyone or fit into society or look a certain way to be who I am. Other people don't have to understand why I do what I do or believe as I do or understand me. I don't have to do the right thing or pay my dues to have what I want. The outer world is old manifestation and old energy. The action is the new, vibrant energy in my vortex and the only thing I have to do to live in that new exciting energy is relax and be myself.
Put all your attention on where you are going and all your angst about where you were or where you are just fades away.

Abraham-Hicks, West Los Angeles, CA, January 31, 2004A
I'm having exciting results with something physical in a few short days. But more importantly, I'm feeling more like myself. Whole. I am strong. I am healthy. My body is wonderful! I now know that what I want is possible and it's so exciting. I feel at peace about all of it and each day is an adventure. What new exciting impulses, thoughts, desires and manifestations will I have next?! I feel like anything I want is possible.
Your conclusion that there isn't enough of something whether it is enough land, or money, or clarity stems from you learning, without meaning to, a vibration that holds you apart from what you want. There is no limitation. If you identify a desire for it, Source recognizes your desire, and immediately begins to deliver it to you. And it will manifest in the variety, in the fullness, and in the way that you, and only you, learn to allow it.

Abraham-Hicks, San Francisco, CA, March 8, 2003
We love seeing you here in these physical bodies recognizing the guidance system that is within you. And we want to talk about that here today because we see so many of our friends who are physical humans, who are setting aside the guidance that comes forth from within and trying to replace it with someone else’s version of what they ought to be doing....

Nobody’s perspective matters more than yours because nobody can tend to your vibrational countenance. Nobody can adjust the vibration of you. Nobody else has their hand on the lever or on the valve that controls the degree to which you allow your alignment or not, and when you let someone else guide you, so that you’re not paying attention to your own alignment with Source, you can get mixed upside down and all around to the degree that you do not know what to think about anything, and then you’re just listening to the loudest voice....

And we’re wanting you to understand, it’s not the loudest voice, it’s the consistent voice. It’s the voice that does not waver. It’s the voice that never stops saying to you, “You are worthy, and you are love, and you are well-being, and you deserve to live well.” It’s the voice that never stops saying, “Well-being abounds, and Source Energy flows,” and if you will work to align with the vibration that feels like that, you must thrive. And no one can ever take your thriving away from you. No one can take your freedom away from you.

How to feel better about those long-held desires

I was listening to Abraham's introductory comments on a workshop tape and had an insight about my long-held desires. Abraham is talking about the newly hatched desires feeling good to us. For me they definitely do. I love when the ideas just come into my mind like fireworks on the 4th of July, one after another. I'm caught up in them, enjoying them for their own sake. I realize that all my life I've enjoyed the creativity of new ideas and planning them more than maintaining them once they are manifested. As a matter of fact my jobs have often included setting up some new process for a company or learning new software.
You are enjoying the evolution of your desire? You are feeling the freshness of a newly hatched desire? You are enjoying the continuation of not so newly hatched desires that have not yet manifested? (audience laughs) It's easier to feel good about the newly hatched desires isn't it?

~~Abraham-Hicks, October 11, 2003A, Tarrytown, NY
I do have some long-held desires and I would love to feel better about them. Abraham goes on to say if they become unpleasant:
So, you have two options. You can either let it go altogether and have a truly emotional break. Or you can change the way you feel about it.
Being a deliberate reality creator means choosing thoughts that feel good and they will feel good because they are in alignment with our desires. We can also use action to feel better for conditions like pain that we can't avoid. We can distract ourselves with any pleasurable activity that feels good and helps us relax -- like a funny movie or book, a craft we enjoy, being in nature, getting a massage, a hug or talking with friends. It softens the resistance to the pain and fear. The action we choose can walk hand-in-hand with better feeling thoughts.

When I was listening to Abraham I realized I could try something new using the deliberate creating tools I enjoy the most. I can transform those long-term desires into new ones. I like the idea that I can come at the desire from directions that already feel good to me and that I have used successfully to manifest before. I know they work for me.

One technique is setting intentions and the other is making lists. Each morning I sit down, listen inside to my desires and write the intentions of being in alignment. It feels very good and I can really get on a roll. Any time during the day when I start feeling down I write some intentions or think them and I feel better.

When I feel overwhelmed with many things to do, I write lists. Intentions focus energy and I create a list in the same way. I listen inside to hear my desires and create lists for everything I want to get done in a room, or what I want to do on my computer, or what I want to create right then or anything that pleases me. I break out the tasks into steps and do the tasks that feel good in the moment. I have the pleasure of crossing out finished tasks and getting things done. It's a way for me to focus. If I start feeling driven by the lists or if they feel unpleasant in any way I toss them and listen inside again. The pilot of a plane is rarely on course, he or she is constantly correcting their course, but they are amazingly accurate in reaching their destination. I listen and correct my course to Well-Being during the day. It helps me be aware of negative thoughts and feelings before they build up.

So, getting back to the topic of long-held desires. It's only resistance that is holding back the manifestation. When I was listening to Abraham today I had the realization that I could use these techniques to soften resistance. I know all things are possible, but what I want may seem unattainable to me. Instead of pushing for the full-fledged manifestation I can start where I am and write intentions to transform limiting beliefs on the fringes. I can listen and write lists of actions, breaking them down into the smallest units that begin to feel good.

I set intentions, work to choose better feeling thoughts and make lists anyway, but this is more deliberate and more focused on those desires that seemed complicated and just out of my reach. One desire I have had since I was a child! It feels possible to me now. I can start where I am and I will get there. I know it.

Lists: a quick and easy way to change thoughts and feelings in intense situations

I am a joyful thought by alicepopkorn

The most valuable skill or talent that you could ever develop is that of directing your thoughts toward what you want -- to be adept at quickly evaluating all situations and then quickly coming to the conclusion of what you most want -- and then giving your undivided attention to that. There is a tremendous skill in deliberately directing your own thoughts that will yield results that cannot be compared with results that mere action can provide.

Abraham-Hicks, Excerpted from the book "Money and the Law of Attraction: Learning to Attract Health, Wealth and Happiness"

I love that with Abraham's information there is no need for introspection. No need to spend any time remembering or understanding where a disturbing, unpleasant thought came from. All I need to know is what I want.

Deliberate creating is meant to be easy and I appreciate short cuts. I've posted many that I've found and now have a new one.

About a week ago I had several experiences happen within two or three days that stirred up an old, stuck cluster of beliefs and feelings from very early childhood when I was one or two.

As I worked with my thoughts I was riding an emotional roller coaster through fear, worry, anger and stress -- all the time using the deliberate creating tools I like and moving the feelings around -- just not getting to a stable place. Probably in answer to something I had been asking Abe for -- I discovered something new for myself.

I carried a black and white school composition book around with me for two or three days. Whenever I had a distressing thought or feeling I noted the time, then wrote down a few words that described it, then a few words of what I wanted.

It could be like this:

angry
trapped
afraid
furious
I want to feel and be free
I want the problem to be worked through with good will and cooperation

or like this:

fear
worry
stressed
sick to my stomach
I want to feel and be safe
I want relief from pressure

I listened inside and wrote whatever I felt as often as I felt it. At the beginning I would put the composition book down and then pick it up quickly to write more. This process helped me focus on what I was feeling exactly and to clarify what I wanted. It didn't have to be elegant, just honest.

Each time I wrote I moved my thinking along a bit more and I could feel the relief of having some distance from the unpleasantness. I know these techniques work so I wasn't stuck anymore, just moving along. I also knew that when I said what I wanted the Universe answered, "YES!"

I still used my other techniques when I felt the urge, but really appreciate the ease and speed of changing thoughts and energy using this technique -- after about two or three days I got into a stable positive frame of mind and didn't need to use it all the time. It's in my toolbox though and I'm in a new place that's a lot more fun.

As for me, I've put the trigger situations in the loving hands of the Universe. As I have to write letters or make calls or talk to someone in person, I list any concerns and what I want to happen beforehand and am having very positive experiences.

Above all, instead of feeling off balance by outside conditions as I go toward resolutions, I feel calm and am standing on the solid ground of the Well-Being that flows in me and through me.

We want you to relax into the rhythm of your life. And we want to work on feeling the perfection of where you stand. And we want you to make peace with where you are, this glorious vantage point that has been honed from what you've lived that helps you understand clearly where you are going. But we want you to make peace with the journey between where you are and where you are going because the satisfaction of life is on that path.

Having fun deliberately creating with delicious intentions

~free~ by alicepopkorn

I woke up this morning with a new gut-level understanding. For a moment I could see all my beliefs formed a very large structure. There were no walls, only naked girders linked together in an organized way. The vision came with a realization that everything I've taken on as a habit or belief, dysfunctional or not, was to feel good. From childhood on -- in interactions with parents, siblings, schools, friends, jobs and society -- I made choices of how to think: to fit in or not, to stand up for my truth or not, to believe what I was told or not -- and my intention was to feel good in some way.

Many of those same beliefs provide the conflict that I've been working through as I've explored deliberate creating. They have been the blocks to my new desires.

I don't remember the question I was thinking about when I was waking up, but that vision was an answer to it. There is compassion for me in that answer -- I did my best at the time.

I do have a different perspective now. I have felt a new energy being born in me since an experience I had sensing the life energy of my being -- gosh, only three weeks ago.

The pieces of the puzzle have been coming into place and this morning when I had that experience I also knew I didn't have to do anything with that structure. I don't have to figure out how my beliefs are connected. I don't have to detach them and mull over them and fine-tune them into better configurations. I let them go and the Universe will take care of them for me. All I have to do is listen to my feelings and make a choice to feel better in every moment. I like the feeling of freedom -- my awareness that I don't have to spend any time or effort sorting through the past.

The new perspective

I would say my new perspective is more of a hands-on, in-the-moment sensation of deliberately creating. It's less and less about things in the world and more and more about what I'm feeling. I'm beginning to connect what I'm deliberately choosing to think and feel and what I am receiving. I'm definitely having more fun with it.

It started when I noticed that intentions I wrote went before me during the day and seemed to create in a magical way. For example: on a day when I wrote about intentions to have fun I later wrote the post Money throws a celebration for me. The idea of the post came to me suddenly and it almost wrote itself -- the picture seemed to leap out of Flickr at me. I just look at that post and all that fun floods through me.

I set them for my day and am amazed at the way they manifest. And I'm beginning to do them as I go about my day or start a new task. I just listen inside and intend until I feel complete. I'll do that right now and show you what I mean:

I am at peace with myself and every area of my life. I am filled with loving Energy that flows through me and into everything I do. I am creative. I am happy. I am successful. I look at life with eyes of love and life smiles back at me. All is well.

I set intentions before I go to sleep and wake up feeling better and better every morning. I say something like: When I sleep I merge joyfully with my Inner Being. My Inner Being flows warm liquid love through my body and every level of my being. The cells of my body and the processes of my body are bathed in this love and their every desire is answered. When I wake I feel refreshed, relaxed and at peace with myself and my world.

When I write them my energy is uplifted whether I write a large paragraph or a few lines. Somehow they feel very personal -- like I can read the words of the energy of "me."

When I write them for the day I follow with at least 10 things I appreciate and I feel even better after that. Then I think about what I want to do that day and begin where I want to begin.

There is feedback happening. The more I set intentions the better I feel and the more interesting experiences I have from them. And then I feel more eager to say them and see what new things I will experience and so on. I feel like a kid with a new toy.

And it just gets better. :)

2 quick ways to align with Abraham- Hicks: It's a sure thing!

The key to living happily ever after is in understanding and therefore trusting the process.

In other words, feel the difference [between] when you're on your way somewhere and you know it's a sure thing so the anticipation is just delicious anticipation, and then that feeling of wanting to be somewhere and you have no idea if you'll ever get there.

And the thing we're wanting you to keep practicing is, know that it's a sure thing.

In other words, you will never be let down. Know that it's a sure thing and in that knowing that it's a sure thing then you don't have to 'this red hot minute' make it manifest.

It is only when you finally really get it that whatever you want is an absolutely sure thing, it's just the timing of it that you're not in control of, that you really start enjoying the savoring of the unfolding.

And we think that the reason so many of you stand in a place of discord between when you've launched a rocket and when it's manifested fully in your experience is not because you understand that it's coming. The discord is because you're really not sure that it's coming. You think it might not come and in your awareness of the absence of it you can hardly stand that!

So the work that we offer, what we're always wanting to assist you in understanding is:

IT'S COMING! IT'S A SURE THING!

It's just a matter of how long any of you are going to hold yourself vibrationally apart from it!

And once you really get that and stop torturing yourself with thoughts of lack and you start soothing yourself with those thoughts of anticipation, then you begin to be the savorer that you've come forth to be.

Abraham-Hicks, October 13, 2001

I just love this quote! It's become a mantra for me lately whenever I feel unease of any kind. I just feel a gentle of wave of relief whenever I think it.

Abraham is advising us to practice positive thoughts about our desires to come into alignment with their vibration. One easy way I use is creating a document in Notebook to keep quotes, notes or anything else I want readily available on my computer desktop. I enter the quote in Notebook, then create a shortcut and drag it from Windows Explorer onto my desktop. Notebook is such a small program that with two clicks on the shortcut the quote pops up for easy viewing. I don't need to open it often though because I get an alignment boost when I see the name of the file, "It's a sure thing," whenever I glance at my desktop. I use this technique for new quotes or notes whenever I want to align with a new desire.

Another easy way to align is to make a creation card, tip #5 in my post 10 ways to turn downstream to Well-Being.

Tip #5: Make a creation card. One time I had a little glossy card advertising a play I wanted to attend. I didn't have the funds to go, but every once in awhile I would touch the colorful card and smile. I went to a meeting a week later and a woman gave me two tickets to the play because she and her husband couldn't attend. What fun! Last week I got a plain note card and wrote the affirmation that was just what I wanted. I drew colorful stars and decorated it so that I felt good when I looked at it. I would touch it briefly or read it every once in awhile. On Friday I received exactly what I had asked for. It was a wonderful feeling! I'm definitely adding creation cards to my deliberate creating toolbox.

You are blessed beings, who deserve Well-being, and Well-being is making its way to you at all times. If you will relax and find a way to allow it -- it will be your experience.

10 ways to turn downstream to Well-Being

A new path by jervetson

....there is a lot of real life that's wonderful and there's a lot of real life that sucks, and it's all your choice. Focus wherever you want, and take your path wherever you want it to be.

Abraham-Hicks, Ashland, OR, July 23, 2005

I'm a deliberate creator who happens to enjoy learning how it all works. One thing that has become clear to me is that it just doesn't matter what has gone before. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks or thought -- even if it is a surgeon or any other authority. It doesn't matter what I did or what I thought -- even if that thought was one second ago. I have the ability to allow what I want and nothing else matters.

All I have to do is work right now to change my thinking. I don't have to be perfect. I don't have to know everything. All I have to do is keep turning in the direction I want to go and keep walking. Sometimes when there are strong negative feelings I use different techniques and turn and turn and turn and turn...and finally it becomes easier as I learn the new feeling that matches my desire. Abraham calls this turning downstream.

Here are ten ways I used last week to turn downstream:

1. Setting intentions. I intend health. I intend feeling peace of mind. I intend whatever. I've discovered that I feel responsible for what I desire when I say intentions. I say them and then I feel a gentle pulling sensation of movement and somehow magically it usually manifests fairly quickly. Relief giving thoughts for peace of mind come to me or I think of a way to do something that I want to accomplish and the energy is there.

2. Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). EFT is a way to move negative energy by tapping on accupressure points while making emotionally charge statements about the issue and then tapping in positive thoughts. EFT is used by millions of people around the world by laymen and professionals. It's one of many techniques for transforming energy, but it's quick, easy, and effective so it's one I prefer.

3. Listing appreciations. I write my intentions that I want to create for the day and then make a list of ten things I truly appreciate. I usually end up writing more because I get on a roll as my feelings lift by doing this.

4. Call Unity Prayer line: 1-800-669-7729. This is pure, positive prayer that is in alignment with Abraham and deliberate creating. For more information about Unity find the welcome page here.

5. Make a creation card.

6. I ask myself what I want. This is the fastest way to turn downstream. Fears and worries seem to always be about something other than the present. So, right then maybe I want comfort, or I want a sign that all is well, or I want a better way to think about the condition, or I want guidance, or support...or I could think of any number of things I might want, but basically -- I want a feeling. There is a feeling of discomfort and I want to feel better. By asking what I want I focus downstream and the answer (and feeling) comes quickly.

7. I say "All is well" and I have a feeling of relief. All is well is my belief about the Universe and I'm reassuring myself that the fabric of everything I see is Love itself.

8. Enjoy nature. Spring is here, the air is fresh, and the birds are making their spring sounds. Just opening the window, taking a deep breath, and enjoying the view is turning downstream for me.

9. Watch comedies and read good books. My library has a great selection of DVDs and I started watching the Frasier series again. I love their second season -- every show was a gem.

10. Daydream. I think of a good daydream that I can pick up and continue whenever I want. I spin yarns where I am the heroine and have delightful adventures.

There are many, many ways to feel good -- swimming, walking, loving pets, friends, and family, a good meal, crafts, giving a hug. More ways than I could count. All we have to do is know what we want and enjoy the ride as the faeries of the Universe take us to our dreams.

Chief Joseph: Appreciation and creating miracles in these changing times

I was drawn to this message from John Cali and Chief Joseph last night and it was, as usual, perfect for me. In the past I've written an uplifting set of intentions and a list of 10 things I appreciate each day, but haven't been doing it for awhile. I was thinking of it yesterday, but kept putting it off until this message reminded me of it's power.

This is John Cali and Chief Joseph on the topic of Thanksgiving last November, but the message itself and the information about changes occurring is more timely than ever:

Here’s Chief Joseph.

Even though your cultures celebrate the giving of thanks, many of you individually do not. It’s a powerful process, this thanks-giving, one you could practice daily to your great benefit.

Your world, and all of you individually, are going through major changes and energy shifts. You do not need us to tell you it can be pretty scary. Your planet is in the midst of a financial "meltdown." You’re still waging various wars on many fronts.

The recent presidential election in the USA has been heralded as a new era, an era of dramatic change. Indeed it is that.

But the change you yearn for, to be fully effective, has to happen not only on a national or global scale, but also in the hearts and minds of each of you individually.

When you can raise your own personal vibrations, miracles will happen. At least what you call miracles.

If every person on the planet could create a vibration of peace in his/her own personal life, you would create peace on earth instantaneously.

It doesn't even take every person. It takes only a few powerfully focused and loving beings among you.

You can contribute to this transformation, to this global movement back into the light, simply by giving thanks for, and appreciating, all the good you have in your lives. You all have much.

Focus on the good. Be grateful for it. Give thanks for it. Appreciate it. Love it.

Then you will be a powerful force in creating the change and growth you seek for yourselves and your planet.

1. I love to write and appreciate how easy it is to create blogs and share ideas.
2. I appreciate the wonderful birding and nature blogs like Kayak Paddle Tales, Saskatchewan Birds, Nature, and Scenery, and Country Captures -- all the creative people who share their love of nature and critters.
3. I love trees in all their glory: in winter bare branches dark against the snow, spring green and flowers so full of life, the full richness of summer, and wearing their blazing colors of autumn finery.
4. I do love birds and animals. I especially appreciate geese and ducks -- wild beings who share our world. I love to hear the geese honking as they fly over to their evening ponds.
5. I appreciate my good friends, especially my metaphysical friend Gina, who explores the information of Abraham and Seth.
6. I love that feeling when I start coming into a new balance on an old or challenging condition using deliberate creating. It's that place where the condition might still be present in the physical, but I've been doing my work and I can tell my thoughts and feelings have changed. It's on it's way out of here!
7. I love having money to pay my bills, get delicious food, and shop for some things I'd like to have. Whether it's $100 or $5, I've discovered the Universe has lovely things just waiting for me.
8. I adore asking Abraham and my Inner Being for help and having the loving thoughts come into my mind or being guided like I was to Chief Joseph's message. I like the comfort of feeling that loving connection.
9. I have so much appreciation for President Obama and his desire for unity and to create a better world for all of us. I appreciate the powerful stream of Well-Being he is summoning that will benefit all of us and that all we need to do is focus on Well-Being to ride the stream in our own lives. I love his green iniatives and care for the environment.
10. I appreciate you and the opportunity to share our journey.

May you be blessed with unexpected moments of delight and delicious thoughts today and always.

Abraham-Hicks: 10 life-changing benefits of pivoting

Anytime that you are feeling negative emotion, you are in a very good position to identify what it is that you are, in that moment, wanting -- because never are you clearer about what you do want than when you are experiencing what you do not want. And so, stop, in that moment and say: Something is important here; otherwise, I would not be feeling this negative emotion. What is it that I want? And then simply turn your attention to what you do want...That is the Process of Pivoting.

Abraham-Hicks, Money, and the Law of Attraction, p. 24

The benefits of pivoting are incredible!

1. You are in a state of continuous positive feelings which means you are attracting all of those good things you desire.

2. As you pay attention to the feelings of inner guidance you become more and more aware of what is important to you.

3. With every pivot you have greater clarity about what you want and the positive feelings draw you closer to it.

4. Pivoting is the process through which you chew upon the data of life, determining your ever-changing point of desire.

5. Pivoting is recognizing that when you are feeling negative emotion, that you are, in that moment of feeling bad, attracting that which you consider bad, and then making a conscious decision to stop that attraction and begin a positive attraction.

6. Pivoting is the process of changing your thought, word, or action, thus changing your emotional response.

7. Pivoting is the process where you recognize, by the negative emotion that you are feeling, that you are taking the Non-physical Energy of the Universe and directing it toward what you do not want, or toward the lack of what you do want.

8. Pivoting is the process whereby you round up any renegade Energy that you have offered in opposition to what you want, and get it going in the direction of your desire.

9. Pivoting is the process that changes the direction of your creating, or more specifically stated, the direction of your attracting.

10. Pivoting is the process that brings you into balance with your core intentions.

The process of pivoting -- literally watching for opportunities, or reasons, to identify what it is you do want -- because you are currently feeling bad because you are focused upon what you do NOT want -- is the key to lead you to the productive, joyful physical life experience that you intended even before your emergence into this physical body....

Just as the sculptor or the artist gains his satisfaction, not from the finished work, you, too, have come forth for the sheer joy of molding the clay of the Universe into the work of art that you identify as your physical life experience.

Abraham-Hicks: Pivoting to feeling good all day

For a few months I've been working on fine-tuning my work with Abraham's concepts. The energy stream is fast moving and dipping down to whack through the tops of trees as I resist isn't the fun I'd like to be having. I have been trying different techniques to keep balanced and soaring smoothly -- still there's bump...bump...bump!

I've learned a lot though. I'm beginning to appreciate that when I hit the bumps I really do have a clearer idea of what I do want. I don't need to hit bumps to have clarity, but it is something I can appreciate in the experience. Most of all, I appreciate the effectiveness of techniques Abraham offers to stay in the fast-moving stream of those good feelings.

Currently, I've been drawn to pivoting. Sometimes I ask and open books for answers. About a month ago I opened to five different pages in two books, one right after another, about pivoting and I'll focus on it now.

For us to be in alignment with our desires, we choose to focus on that which feels good. This is why pivoting is important to practice:

Whatever you are giving your attention to is already vibrating. And when you give your attention to it, if you maintain your focus for as little as 17 seconds, you begin to include its vibration, whatever it is, in your vibration. When you see something you want, and you give it your attention, and you say yes to it, you are including whatever its vibration is in your vibration. When you see something you do not want, and you shout no at it, you are including whatever its vibration is in your vibration. In this vibrational world, which is everything, you are far more vibrational beings than you are verbal beings.

Abraham-Hicks, Portland, OR, July 11, 1999

Pivoting is a way to see contrast and quickly turn our focus to "Yes, I want this!" Here's the process of pivoting:

Anytime that you are feeling negative emotion, you are in a very good position to identify what it is that you are, in that moment, wanting -- because never are you clearer about what you do want than when you are experiencing what you do not want. And so, stop, in that moment and say: Something is important here; otherwise, I would not be feeling this negative emotion. What is it that I want? And then simply turn your attention to what you do want... In the moment you turn your attention to what you want, the negative attraction will stop; and in the moment the negative attraction stops, the positive attraction will begin. And -- in that moment -- your feeling will change from not feeling good to feeling good. That is the Process of Pivoting.

Abraham-Hicks, Money, and the Law of Attraction, p. 24

The process of pivoting will assist you in changing your negative point of attraction to a positive point of attraction....

The more you apply this process, the more proficient you will become. And the faster the pivot will occur. You will know, or recognize when you have successfully accomplished a pivot -- when you feel better.

If you are very sensitive to the way that you feel, you may find one hundred to one thousand opportunities to pivot in just one day. However, there will not be one hundred or one thousand different things that you want. You will begin to discover that all of this pivoting is pointing to a few things that are extremely important to you: Freedom, usually highest in priority. Growth. Joy. Upliftment.

Abraham-Hicks, A New Beginning II, pp. 83-84.

I have found a lot of relief in realizing that just by asking myself what I do want, I turn downstream to Well-Being. It's that easy!

And last, but not least, day-to-day it's important to remember that we are eternal beings:

You are magnificent beings, in the perfect place at the perfect time, unfolding perfectly, never getting it done, and never getting it wrong. Be more playful about all of it.

"Today, no matter where I'm going, no matter what I am doing, and no matter who I'm doing it with -- it is my dominant intent to look for that which I'm wanting to see. I'm wanting to find thoughts and words and actions that feel good while I'm finding them. For in doing so, I am, in the moment, practicing the art of allowing all that I've been telling the Universe I'm wanting, for all of the days of my existence."

Bashar: Everything we desire is contained in following our excitement

I've loved the work of changing my thinking in a deliberate way, but now I'm looking for something quicker and even easier. I've asked this loving Universe for a more flowing way of co-creation and the answer came in several ways -- one important one was a YouTube video of Bashar, Finding your Highest Excitement.

Bashar is a wise and loving being from our future who has very high, positive energy and speaks with humor about how we manifest. I'm working to change my thinking to thoughts that are flowing with Well-Being in areas like job and health where I interact and co-create with others who have different beliefs. I was delighted to discover Bashar's "how to" guide to creating all that we desire in a very practical, easy way -- following our excitement.

There were several "aha's" for me:

  • What is exciting in the moment is connected to the bigger desires we have.
  • Following our excitement is the shortest path to manifest what we want.
  • Excitement contains everything we need. We don't need to worry about any other considerations.
  • Even if the same conditions manifest around us, we will know we have changed because we respond differently. [This is SO helpful because it provides that bridge for any lag time between the old pattern and manifestation of new beliefs. Abraham would call this a sign post on the journey that lets us know we are going in the right direction.]
This is my transcript of key ideas from Bashar's YouTube video, Finding your Highest Excitement. Bashar is answering a guest's question about what to do with all the things she needs to consider to make decisions.

Bashar: [You think you need to consider everything, but you don't.] You see, when you understand what excitement is, you'll realize why you don't have to always look at every single detail in order to know what to do. Now, let's talk about this on two levels primarily.

The most fundamental level is this: When we talk about the idea of acting on your joy to the best of your ability we mean in every given moment on anything. It doesn't have to be a career thing, but they're connected. So, in other words, if right now out of all the options you have when you leave this discussion with us. Out of all of the options you have available to you that you could choose to do. If you look at all the options and you realize that simply taking a walk or driving your car or calling a friend is the most exciting thing out of all the options -- that's the thing to do. Just because it's the most exciting. You don't need a reason why. It's the excitement that tells you that's the next thing you need to do.

And, here's the other level: It's the excitement in the simple things that tells you what simple things are actually connected to the bigger things that excite you. And will actually get you there in what may seem to be a round about manner, but by following the excitement is actually the shortest, fastest, straightest path.

So, every moment, if you simply choose the thing that excites you the most at that moment -- out of all the things that you have available to you that you have the best ability to actually take action on -- do it. Take action on that thing. When you can take action on that thing no further, look around for the next most exciting thing you have the greatest ability to take action on and do that. Whatever it is. Even if it doesn't seem connected to anything else, do it. Because the excitement tells you it is connected.

Now. Once you start doing that, once you get into that pattern, you will sensitize yourself to the idea of excitement. You'll become a better sensor for the concept of what does excite you and what doesn't. And you won't create so many things to consider before you will simply be willing to take action on your excitement.

Not only because of that, not only because you become a better sensor of it, but also because you begin to understand the principle that excitement is it's own self-contained kit and it's own driving engine. When you act on your excitement to the best of your ability every moment, you begin to experience synchronistically that the exciting thing you're doing actually contains all of the things you actually need to consider. And what it doesn't contain, you don't need to consider.

It's a self-contained kit that always perpetuates more of the same -- more excitement -- and brings with it the things that actually are important for you to look at in that process of continuing and expanding your excitement.

So, what doesn't come with it isn't part of that kit and has no business taking time in your life.

That's what you want. You want that passion. You want that vibration. You want to understand the excitement. What you translate as that feeling. That love, that passion IS the vibration of your true, natural self in the way you were actually created. That's why it's always the beacon to move toward. You're actually moving toward yourself, and more and more and more of yourself every time you are willing to take a step toward your excitement by acting on the situation that contains the most of it without cluttering it up with other things that actually are not a part of that excitement.

But, if those things come up, you don't deny them. You recognize they're there for a reason and the reason they're there are for you to understand what information they have for you, by processing them, that will tell you more about who you are so that in learning more of who you are you can continue to act more and more and more every day and every moment on more of your excitement.

I guarantee to all of you this is how life works and this is how it will become an ecstatic explosion of excitement and synchronicity the more that you trust it. The more that you live it. You will see that it is so. It will prove itself to you, but you have to take the first step. And remember: It is "believing is seeing." Not seeing is believing.

And the belief does not have to be foundationless. You will understand that what we are talking about here is simply pure physics. What you put out is what you get back. The more you demonstrate in your behavior to the Universe that you're willing to believe that what excites you the most IS what you're all about by your actions, the more the Universe will reflect more of that back to you.

But. Here's the polarized aspect of it. When you start acting on your joy, don't assume with expectation that you MUST see things outside of you change. They can and often will, and often very rapidly. When you change your vibration the outside will often change. However, if it doesn't immediately do so, don't assume you've done something wrong. Don't assume that you are not seeing a representation of your excitement.

Understand. Every single thing in physical reality, every single situation and circumstance serves double duty. They are all neutral props. They have no built in meaning.

So, you know that when you're following your joy you might still see the very same scenario all around you manifesting. The difference that let's you know there's a difference is that you respond differently to it than you did before. Not that IT looks different, it's that you ACT differently toward it than you did before.

That's what lets you know your reality has changed. No matter what it looks like, you're only going to get a positive effect out of it. No matter what anyone else's intention in that scenario may be toward you, the only effect you will get is the meaning you've given it. Even if it looks the same as it did a moment ago.

My own turning point

Leaping dolphins by Zest-pk.

My last post was on the Winter Solstice - a turning point in the season. Today I've experienced my own turning point - turning downstream to wellness.

Abraham advises us to focus on feeling good. What I have been working with lately is guidance on feeling good when "what is" is a physical feeling that I feel with every step or when I sit.

What I was wondering today was what to do when I feel it? I could tell I was focusing on and practicing the physical feeling when there was pain. Since it happened when I walked or moved there's no surprise that it was increasing.

When I am comfortable and feel good I can visualize myself moving easily. My question was what to do to feel good in the moment that I had the sensation.

This morning I was thinking: we send out our preferences and desires all the time so when I experience the physical sensation I must be sending out a positive desire. I didn't feel good emotionally though and when I listened to my thoughts I couldn't even pick out the positive desires. There was a jumble of thoughts and feelings about the sensation and my new desire to understand right then.

My Inner Being answered that in the very moment of sensation, I can choose a good feeling thought and send it out. I've been practicing this morning and when I do it, I can sense a beam of warm golden light shining through the middle of the physical sensation.

I was working here at my computer a few minutes ago and I had another thought that is very delicious: In the midst of the physical sensation I can enjoy sending out my desire for well-being!

I'm practicing this new awareness and I can definitely say I feel better emotionally. Whatever thought we choose the Law of Attraction begins collecting more thoughts around it. As we turn to our Inner Being, it becomes easier to hear those loving thoughts. With the choice to send out a positive desire I feel uplifted. I feel hope. I have had so many experiences of this Loving Universe answering me and I know it does now. I love being in control of my thoughts and my experience. I feel excited!

So excitement serves as a "compass" - to let you know when you're "on course" - when you are doing or contemplating doing exactly what your Higher Self would just love to have you be doing.

Bashar - Follow your excitement! Finding your Purpose in Life

As you begin telling the story differently, it is our promise to you that the Universe will back your story up with evidence.

Abraham-Hicks, Los Angeles, CA, February 3, 2008

Your Inner Being is always right there with you and your Inner Being is rooting for you and encouraging you.

And sometimes we think it’s strange that you do not hear more often, these encouraging words.

And if you have discouraging words playing in your mind, more than you do encouraging words, these are words that you've picked up along your physical trail that you've begun to practice. And you've made them your more dominant words.

But we really want you to start listening for those encouraging words because your Inner Being is always offering them....

Your Inner Being loves you so very much and wants you to feel that love for yourself, you see.

Abraham-Hicks and long-held desires

I read some Abraham this morning before I got up and then was laying all warm and cozy in bed thinking. I was musing lazily about what made me happy and realized I feel happy when I feel like I can have what I want. I feel unhappy when I think I can't have what I want.

Is it really that simple for me? I think it is.

When I read Abraham this morning this stood out:

...Many people on their way to wellness get half-way there, and get discouraged because there is not manifestation, and turn around and head back toward illness. Many people on their way from financial disaster get nearly to where they want to be, where the manifestation is nearly about to show up, but because they take score about the manifestation, they get discouraged and turn around and go back to not enough money.

...you have been launching preferences...and Law of Attraction is lining up around them. And your future experience is being made for you before you approach it -- that's why 99% of creation is complete before you begin to see the physical evidence of it.

So, most of what you're doing is the Emotional Journey....

Abraham-Hicks, July-Aug-Sept 2005 Quarterly Journal, "An Emotional Journey from Fear to Hope."

There are beliefs and their manifestations that I've had since childhood that I want to change. This is the answer for me for those times when it seems that I've been asking for a long time -- that part where Abraham says we get almost there and then turn around. I turned around when I looked at what-is and thought I couldn't have what I wanted.

I wonder if that part of the journey just before manifestation is a birth like our physical birth? If we have a long-held desire or one that is really important to us perhaps we sense that our life will change in a big way and there is unconscious resistance that causes us to choose to turn around and go back so that we can practice aligning some more.

This morning was a reminder for me that the end of the journey -- the part just before manifestation -- is still just part of the path. I don't have to turn back. I can make an oasis. I can be creative. I can contemplate. I can enjoy the feeling that what I desire is close and coming to me. I can choose to believe that I can have what I want.

Source Energy is intimately, infinitely, always responding to your requests, no matter how great or small they may be deemed by you or anyone else who is observing them. There is nothing so big that Source Energy can't get its thoughts around it-- and there is nothing so small that Source Energy isn't willing to get its thoughts around it.

Abraham-Hicks, Los Angeles, CA, August 4th, 2001

Above all I can ask this loving Universe for whatever I need at that time to align --comfort, guidance, signs, good feeling thoughts. I can enjoy every part of the journey.

Abraham-Hicks: You have the choice to feel better in this moment

As deliberate creators we know that our emotional guidance system gives us feedback about our thoughts in the form of emotions. Negative emotions tell us we are looking at lack and positive emotions tell us we are aligned with our Inner Being. There is one easy thing we can remember that will always keep us facing in the direction of alignment:

Of course, there is a broad range of emotions--from those that feel very bad to those that feel very good--but in any moment in time, because of whatever you are focused upon, you actually only have two choices in emotion: a better-feeling one or a worse-feeling one.

Abraham-Hicks, Money and the Law of Attraction, p. 108.

It doesn't matter what happened before. It doesn't matter what thought we had that didn't feel good. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks of us. It doesn't matter if we don't like what we created. It doesn't matter if we don't know how to do it differently. It doesn't matter if others are pointing fingers or even if they are ignoring us. Nothing matters but our feeling good in this beautiful moment in the eternal Now.

If we take this moment in time and choose a better feeling thought then that is the path we walk. In each moment we have that choice. And so what if something triggered a thought that doesn't feel good. Even if it's an old pattern and we run with the rut we have established for awhile. All we have to do is choose a better feeling thought and we are on a new path.

And each time we make that choice the old path fades a little more and the new one becomes our reality. Because we choose it. Because we are facing the Light. Because it feels good. Because we allow ourselves that delicious feeling of our true selves: our Inner Being.

So, creation really is more about loving yourself; it’s more about feeling your worthiness; it’s more about appreciating a friend; it’s more about enjoying the sunset; it’s more about enjoying the beautiful flowers. It’s more about finding reasons to relax into Well-Being, rather than gather up your strength and valiantly go forth to achieve your tasks, and serve your cause… because your “cause” is, to be the receiver and radiator of the love and Well-Being that is You.

You are an extension of Source Energy. You are one who loves, and you are one who loves to think, and you are one who loves to create, and you are one who loves to contemplate. You’re one who enjoys stimulation of thought. You’re one who enjoys choosing; you enjoy considering; you enjoy pondering; you enjoy fashioning. You enjoy putting things together. You enjoy figuring things out. You enjoy knowing. You enjoy not being sure and then becoming more sure. You enjoy the evolution of a thought. You enjoy the expansion of an idea. You enjoy the expansion of life experience. You enjoy the pleasure of being this genius focused in the most creative environment that has ever existed, for the fulfillment of things that satisfy you.

You are liquid love in physical bodies, wanting, more than life itself, because it is life itself, to adore the vessel that’s you through which this Source Energy flows. You are God. You are Source. You are creator.

You always feel good from your Source Energy perspective.

Abraham-Hicks -- look for the positive aspect

I'm reading Abraham's new book, Money and the Law of Attraction, with much appreciation. I love the timing of the book and even the way I was able to buy it. It was on sale on Amazon.com and I had some money left over on a gift certificate which paid for the book and shipping.

In my experience, it is valuable to read Abraham or listen to workshop CD's because I attune to Abe's lovely vibration. Even if I have a book and haven't read it, the vibration is in my experience and ready for me when the time is right. I had this book for awhile and one night I was getting ready for bed and had the thought that it was time for me to read it. The timing is perfect because of circumstances which are causing me to ask for new ways to think about them. I savor Abe's words and read a little bit almost every night before I go to bed. I say, "Ok, Abe. I'm ready for the next step in remembering deliberate creating." And then I read and find a great new technique or way of thinking that uplifts my spirits.

For example, Abraham advises us to look for the positive aspect in anything we are paying attention to -- especially if it is something we are not wanting and it's right in front of our face. If we focus on the positive aspect, conditions will improve.

I really enjoy turning my thinking around and Abraham offers many ways to find the gold gleaming in unwanted conditions. Here's one way that I use to see the positive in the midst of negative emotions:

When you feel negative emotions about anything, it always means that you have a desire that has been born from your personal life experience, that you are, right now, opposing with other thoughts. ~Abraham-Hicks, Money and the Law of Attraction, p. 73.

Here are the steps I go through in my thinking:

1. The gold for me is to remember that I'm having that negative feeling because I have a strong desire.

2. I remind myself that my desires are met instantly. They are real. They are answered.

3. I remind myself that the negative feelings are coming from a thought and it is only a thought. I chose it. I can change it.

4. Then I think about what it is I want at this point and ask for it. Usually the negative feeling comes from an old way of thinking that I can't have what I want. I know now that I can have it. Each time I make the new choice I change my point of attraction!

5. I usually feel relief from those steps because I've worked with these concepts enough that I know they are true. If I still feel negative feelings I use other tools to bring relief depending on what I feel would work best. Here are a few of them:

~keep repeating steps 1 to 4 -- each time I am changing the pattern.
~distract myself with books or DVDs
~use the Emotional Freedom Technique
~call Unity prayer line - very Abishlike, positive prayer. 1-800-669-7729.
~go outside to be with nature
~talk to Abe or my Inner Being and then listen. They always answer very quickly.
~use my version of the placemat process, giving my feelings, desires, and intentions to the Manager, Abraham, or my Inner Being
~ask my Inner Being how it would view the situation or ask what to do to feel better. The answer comes from within.
~write or think about things I appreciate

These tools and processes work to change my thinking. I feel better and that's the important thing. The other part is that it allows me to accept the good that's jumping up and down in it's desire to come into my life. Welcome to all that goodness!

99 percent of every creation is complete before there is any physical evidence.

It doesn't matter what thing you've done, it only matters what thing you do -- because you can't resist in the past tense, you can only resist in the powerful Now. You might have started a pattern before and you might be continuing a pattern, but it's the doing now not the 'have done' that matters.

Q: And there are other times when I focus on something, raise my vibration, see it happening -- imaging -- and it doesn't come to me. And is that because I'm coming from not having it?

Abe: Well, when you see it and it comes instantly, it means what you see and how you feel and how you vibrate [are] already there. But when you are working to raise your vibration and it's still not coming, it means there's still something stuck in your craw. And what it always is, is a keener awareness of what is than of what's coming. And that's why -- we really want you all to hear this, it will soothe so much and bring so many things that you've been wanting for so long so quickly into your experience -- if you can find a way of tweaking your perception into loving where you are anyway. And people worry about that -- many of you are afraid that if you feel appreciation for your life as it is with missing pieces that then the Universe will say, "Well, she's happy, let's deal with someone more needy," and it isn't that way at all. You get yourself into vibrational sync and then all good things come to you.

Segment intending is a great way to ramp up energy and get things done

As I practice segment intending I feel like a newbie pilot who's taking their first solo flight. This is the first time I've had my hands on the controls of my thinking so much during the day. I'm having new experiences and it's definitely interesting.

One of my observations is that segment intending is a powerful way to increase energy and get things done. I wrote a post on August 10th with appreciation for how good this technique felt. The next day I was saying to myself, boy, I feel good. I would notice how efficient it was to go with the energy, appreciating how much I was getting done, and the more I noticed, the better I felt and the more I got done! I felt like a happy blur getting one thing done after another. I didn't sleep a lot and the next day and night were the same.

The guided energy was different for me. I would think about the things to do and then decide which ones I wanted to accomplish. I would say my intentions for feelings for the next segment. And then I felt pulled along by a surge of enthusiasm to accomplish those tasks one after another. I'm talking about "should do" tasks -- the ones I was dragging my feet on or did when I had to -- as well as those that I wanted to do. I found myself eager and wanting to do all of them and everything just clicked into place.

As I've worked with Abraham's concepts I've definitely learned that I create my inner world. I've learned that I'm the one that makes me feel bad or good. I'm the one that controls whether I have that delicious feeling of connection to my Inner Being.

I'm always learning, but these concepts of deliberate reality creation are working well. My inner life has been turned around. The new playground for me is focusing more on playing in the physical world and what I'm learning now is that setting the feelings is the most important thing I can do. If I feel off-balance, I take a moment and align inside to my Inner Being. It happens just by asking, just by intending to do it, and by taking the time to quiet my mind and allow that sweet feeling of relief in connection.

...what Deliberate Creating really is. It's caring how I feel so much that I am willing to choose the better feeling thought.

Abraham-Hicks

Rather than "What should I do?" we want you to follow the thought of your Source, and the thought of that Source within you is looking for things to appreciate. And we know that guidance always sounds like "should I go this way, or should I go this way?" when you understand that the guidance is about the direction of your thought, and you deliberately choose the better feeling thought, what begins to happen is that you get going with The Flow so well that questions about what to do answer themselves easily because it is so obvious what to do....the confusion goes away when the resistance goes away....when you say, "never mind what I'm going to do, how am I going to think about this? And you chose a better feeling thought about the subject, what happens is that The Stream is flowing so smoothly that all of the chaos and confusion from your life lifts from you and you have clarity about what to do.

Abraham-Hicks, Tarrytown, NY 9/30/06

You are extensions of [pure, positive] creative energy, and when you are not deliberately doing it [i.e., flowing the energy toward what you want], life is flat. Friends, this is not piddly little energy! This energy keeps your earth spinning in its orbit, in perfect proximity to other planets. We THINK it can help you be happy in your house!

Abraham-Hicks

Source Energy is intimately, infinitely, always responding to your requests, no matter how great or small they may be deemed by you or anyone else who is observing them. There is nothing so big that Source Energy can't get its thoughts around it-- and there is nothing so small that Source Energy isn't willing to get its thoughts around it.

Abraham-Hicks and the power of being who you really are

The only thing that makes the difference in the way you feel right now is the thought that you are thinking right now. It doesn't matter how much money you've got; there are joyful people with no money, and there are unhappy people with lots of money. How you feel is about how you are allowing the Source that is You to flow. So when we talk about the Art of Allowing, we're talking about the art of living; about the art of thriving; about the art of clarity. We're talking about the art of being who you really are.

Abraham-Hicks, 7/20/02

A couple of days ago I was mulling over the thought that the most powerful thing we can do as deliberate creators is to be who we really are. Who am I? Who are you? We are loving beings of energy having this physical experience for the joy of it.

Right now I'm working on how to take joyful action. I'm letting go of things I felt I "should" do and looking at how to make choices that feel good each day with everything I do. I'm trusting feelings of excitement and interest to guide me to what is perfect and just right for me in the moment.

I've been practicing segment intending and other techniques and they work well. I look within myself, listen, think about what I would like to do, feel for the one that feels best, send out my intentions, and take the action that goes with it. It just takes a minute and I find myself creating a rhythm. Everything is easier including tasks I put off before.

So how does this work day-to-day? There's work, money, health, washing the dishes, relationships -- the whole range of choices big and small for a day. To use a small example of following energy, my sister has been wanting to create a genealogy of one side of the family, but doesn't know how to use a computer. In the last couple of days I offered to help and did some research, but kept telling her I had so many other projects I couldn't work on it for long. The thing is that I'm finding some really interesting information after just a few hours of work -- an 1863 Civil War journal of a great-great-grandfather that was online -- mysteries about marriages.

My thoughts about doing the genealogy remind me of Abraham's example of asking for and resisting the red car in the same sentence: I want the red car, but I don't have enough money for it. I kept saying I didn't have enough time to work on this, but I felt a lot of enthusiastic energy when I explored online. This morning I decided to place my bets on the good feeling energy and I'm going to take a genealogy course at the library next week.

I'm using this small example of many choices that happen every day. All Abraham says is that we make choices in the moment that feel good. I don't know at this moment how genealogy fits in with the manifestation of desires I've sent out -- all I know is that right now I really enjoy it. Maybe it's just something to distract me while the big ones I desire come to me. I'm trusting that the money is here. The health is here. That all the things I want to be, do, and have are here. I've asked Source Energy to let me know clearly when I need to take action regarding work, health, doing the dishes, etc. So my work is to just feel good in the eternal Now of this moment. I like that job description! And as a bonus I'm finding that everything is falling into place more and more easily.

I understand now that the Universe answers me. By being who I truly am I make this process easy. I don't have to work through any discordant thoughts about what I was told about who I am and what I deserve. I don't have to fit in to anyone else's idea of what I need to do to be prosperous or healthy. All I have to do is be present in this moment and send out my desires -- they are answered.

.. the Universe got it piece by piece by piece and you can't comprehend all of the preferences that you have honed all at once. None of you can do that. None of you could stand right here and know yourselves and express yourselves to us as clearly as we know you.

In other words, not one of you could put it into words. Source Energy KNOWS who you are. And is offering response to it at all times. You just have to find a way to let it in.

And working too hard doesn't do it. And fretting over it doesn't do it. And jumping through hoops doesn't do it. And feeling unworthy and trying to achieve worthiness doesn't do it.

What does it is anything and everything that makes you feel good when you do it.
