Turning back doesn't work: Lot's wife turning to a pillar of salt

This is an excerpt of my affirmation post about remembering for The Creation Box:

I remember that I never get it done and I relax and enjoy the journey. I remember that it's a sure thing and I look forward to the gift of each moment.... I remember that my true nature is love. I remember that I am safe and loved and that this life is meant to be an adventure. I remember that joy is my purpose and I choose thoughts that fill me with happiness.... If I look back Abraham and my Inner Being remind me to turn to around....

When I wrote "If I look back Abraham and my Inner Being remind me to turn around," I had a flash that this was a metaphysical meaning of the story of Lot's wife turning to a pillar of salt. Lot's wife literally stopped living when she turned back, but we all experience that loss of delicious life energy when we turn from love to worry or look back to focus on difficulties.

In Abraham's terms we become one with the vibration of whatever we are focused on. Because the life-giving, ever present Divine energy flows downstream in eternal creating, there is only Now. We are always becoming "more" and life and fun and adventure and all the good stuff we desire is downstream for us.

I'm obviously not a Biblical scholar, this was just the insight I had and I like it because it gives me a physical sense of what happens when I worry or stew about anything. I'm not concerned about stopping worrying altogether, I just appreciate finding thoughts and ideas that make it easy to turn my thinking around. This gives me a sensory experience that makes it easier to look forward to love.

For every pleasing thing, there is an unpleasing counterpart, for within every particle of the Universe is that which is wanted as well as the lack of that which is wanted. When you focus upon an unwanted aspect of something in an effort to push it away from you, it only comes closer, because you get what you give your attention to whether it is something that you want or not. It is up to you to focus upon and attract what is wanted.

Abraham-Hicks, Excerpted from the book "Money and the Law of Attraction: Learning to Attract Health, Wealth and Happiness"

What-is has no bearing on what is coming unless you are continually regurgitating the story of what is. By thinking and speaking more of how you really want your life to be, you allow what you are currently living to be the jumping-off place for so much more. But if you speak predominantly of what-is, then you still jump off but you jump off into more of the same.

Abraham-Hicks, Excerpted from the book "Money and the Law of Attraction: Learning to Attract Health, Wealth and Happiness"

Just hold in your mind the idea of the Stream that is flowing mightily towards all the things that you want and then just figure out how to get yourself going with the Flow. If you'll focus upon that, and that alone, everything that you've dreamed for will manifest so quickly.

Abraham-Hicks, Law of Attraction Directly from Source CD, Track 9

"Could I think too little about my desire, for it to manifest?" Actually, no, because as the contrast launches the desire, and then you do not offer any opposing thought, then you're letting it in, and it will manifest.

.... Let the variety of your life keep balance in your life. You just concentrate more on holding yourself in the good-feeling place where you're letting it in.

People say, "The joy is in the journey," but they rarely understand what they are saying. You are in this focused time/space reality with goals and objectives that call you because as you identify a desire it literally summons life through you. Life summoning through you is what it's all about --it's not the completion of anything.

Abraham-Hicks, Chicago, IL, November 1, 1998

....there is no end that you're going toward. We are all on a perpetual cycle of joyous becoming....

Hiya Annie, I'm so glad you get uplifted here because I always do when I visit you! Funny how that works out, isn't it. :)

It's an amazing and wonderful thought to me that there is always more -- more good ideas, more good stuff, more good feelings -- coming our way.

Lovnhugs to you, too :)
